Felipe Arcila - Micro Lot

Honey Processed

This coffee was grown by Felipe Arcila (pictured) at the farm Jardines Del Eden (Garden of Eden), in the mountains approximately 330km south of Medellin. Coffee Bean purchases direct through Felipe's brother, Carlos.

This coffee was exposed to a dry anaerobic fermentation period of 72 hours with the pulp on. During this fermentation stage fruit and wine yeast were added. The cherries were then pulped and placed to dry on raised beds with fruit placed amongst the coffee until the ideal moisture content was achieved.

This micro lot is 100% Castillo. This variety was developed by Federación Nacional de Cafeteros. It is more productive than Caturra and resistant to coffee leaf rust.
We're very excited to have this highly prized coffee. We recommend enjoying as an espresso (black) or filter coffee to get the most out of the unique flavour characteristics. Due to the rarity and specialty of this coffee, this coffee is roasted fresh to order, and we recommend allowing the coffee to rest for 7-10 days after delivery.

We currently have two varieties of this special coffee. Each is processed the same way, but with a different fruit and different developed flavour.

Lulo - Citrus, Ripe Lulo, Caramelised Apple, Dark Chocolate

Passionfruit -  Intense Passionfruit, Caramel, Mandarin

Peach - Sweet Peaches, Stone fruits, Tangerine, Sugarcane

Grape - Grape, Rum-Raisin, Bubblegum
