Dubbo Automotive Coffee Beans and Machines | Car Dealership Case Study

Coffee Bean Roasting House has worked with Dubbo Automotive for more than seven years, supporting automatic coffee equipment across several of its dealership and brand locations in Dubbo.

The relationship has continued as Dubbo Automotive has changed, expanded its brand representation and updated the facilities used by its employees and customers. Rather than being limited to one coffee machine installed at one site, the arrangement now includes several machines across different locations and more than one generation of Dr Coffee equipment.

In July 2026, a new Dr Coffee Minibar S2 Plus was installed at the Subaru dealership on Wheelers Lane. Dr Coffee F11 machines also continue to operate across Ford, Nissan, BYD and GWM locations. Although the F11 has since been superseded by the newer Dr Coffee M10, Coffee Bean continues to support the equipment already installed across the business.

The broader relationship also extends beyond coffee. Coffee Bean's sister business, Summer Springs, supplies drinking water and water coolers across Dubbo Automotive locations.

A multi-brand automotive business with different workplace requirements

Dubbo Automotive brings together vehicle sales, servicing, parts, accessories, finance and customer support across several automotive brands and facilities in Dubbo.

Its local automotive history extends back to 1934, when Harold Walter Taylor obtained the Ford dealership in Dubbo. The business that became Dubbo Automotive moved to Wheelers Lane in 1999, added further brands over time and became part of Autopact in 2017. New Ford and Subaru showrooms opened in 2023.

That history matters because Dubbo Automotive is not a single small office operating from one staff kitchen. Its workplaces include sales teams, service advisers, administration, management, technicians, parts operations and customer-facing areas. The way a coffee machine is used may differ between a showroom, service operation, shared staff space and customer waiting area.

A multi-site business also cannot assume that one equipment configuration will automatically suit every location. Available bench space, water access, expected drink volume, the number of users and the role of the machine within the site all affect what should be installed.

A relationship that has continued for more than seven years

Coffee Bean's work with Dubbo Automotive has developed over more than seven years. That longevity is more meaningful than a single equipment sale.

Automatic coffee machines are working assets. Their condition, suitability and ongoing value become apparent after months and years of daily use, not during the first demonstration. A long-term relationship involves continuing to support equipment after installation, understanding how different sites use it and helping the customer update its setup when a location or requirement changes.

During the relationship, Dubbo Automotive has continued to use Dr Coffee equipment across several brand sites. Some of those machines are F11 models installed before the current M10 was introduced. In July 2026, the equipment mix expanded again with the installation of a new Minibar S2 Plus at Subaru on Wheelers Lane.

This gives the relationship a practical equipment lifecycle. Existing machines do not become irrelevant simply because a newer model enters the range. Where an F11 remains suitable and operational, Coffee Bean can continue supporting it. Where a new location or updated facility requires a different level of capacity or drink choice, a current machine can be considered.

A new Minibar S2 Plus for Subaru on Wheelers Lane

The latest addition to Dubbo Automotive's coffee equipment was installed at the Subaru dealership in July 2026.

The Dr Coffee Minibar S2 Plus is a higher-capacity automatic bean-to-cup and hot-drink machine intended for workplaces, customer lounges, showrooms and shared facilities that need more than a basic office coffee setup.

It grinds whole coffee beans for each drink and uses a touchscreen for self-service operation. The machine can combine fresh coffee with automatic milk functions and also includes a powder hopper for an additional drink product such as chocolate or chai, depending on how the site chooses to configure it.

The advised output is up to 150 cups per day, depending on the drinks programmed, cleaning routine and way demand occurs throughout the day. Its approximately 1.5-kilogram bean hopper also reduces how frequently coffee needs to be topped up compared with smaller workplace machines.

Those features are relevant in an automotive dealership because use may not occur evenly across the day. Staff may use the machine around opening time and scheduled breaks, while customers and visitors may create additional demand around vehicle appointments, service bookings and sales discussions.

The machine also allows a wider group of people to make a consistent drink without requiring a separate grinder, commercial espresso machine or trained barista at each location.

Continuing to support the installed Dr Coffee F11 machines

Across Dubbo Automotive's Ford, Nissan, BYD and GWM locations, Dr Coffee F11 machines continue to form part of the workplace coffee setup.

The F11 is no longer the current equivalent in Coffee Bean's range. It has been superseded by the Dr Coffee M10, which serves a similar role for offices, showrooms, staff rooms and customer-facing workplaces.

The introduction of a replacement model does not mean a functioning F11 must automatically be discarded. For a commercial customer, the more important questions are whether the installed equipment remains suitable for its workload, whether it can be maintained and whether it continues to produce an acceptable result.

This is one advantage of maintaining a relationship with a supplier that understands the machines already operating across the business. Coffee Bean can support the existing fleet while also recommending current equipment when a dealership needs an additional machine, replaces an older unit or develops a new coffee area.

For businesses considering a comparable setup today, the M10 is the current replacement option for many applications previously served by the F11. It is available in tank-fed and mains-plumbed configurations, with a steam-wand option where more control over milk preparation is required.

Why automatic coffee machines suit a dealership environment

Traditional commercial espresso equipment can produce excellent coffee, but it also requires a grinder, more bench space, regular adjustment and someone with enough training to prepare drinks consistently. That may be appropriate in a staffed café, but it is not always practical across several dealership locations.

An automatic bean-to-cup machine gives employees and customers a simpler process. The user selects a drink and the machine manages grinding, dosing and brewing. Depending on the model and setup, it can also handle milk and other hot-drink options.

This is particularly useful where different people use the machine throughout the week. The coffee offer does not depend on one employee being available or knowing how to operate traditional espresso equipment.

For a multi-brand automotive business, automatic equipment also provides a more repeatable approach across locations. Each site can have a machine chosen for its expected use without requiring a separate café operation within every dealership.

Coffee equipment is only one part of the workplace setup

Across Dubbo Automotive's locations, the relationship also includes drinking water and water coolers supplied by Coffee Bean's sister business, Summer Springs.

This means the broader workplace beverage requirement can include both coffee equipment and drinking water supply. For employees working across sales, administration, service departments and workshops, access to drinking water is an everyday operational need rather than an optional extra.

Summer Springs delivers returnable 15-litre spring water bottles across Dubbo and supplies cool-and-cold or hot-and-cold water coolers for workplaces. Empty returnable bottles are collected on a later delivery, sanitised, refilled and returned to service.

Having the two services managed through related local businesses gives Dubbo Automotive a practical point of connection across coffee machines, drinking water and coolers. It also gives the Coffee Bean and Summer Springs teams a broader understanding of the different sites being supported.

What the relationship demonstrates for other multi-site businesses

The Dubbo Automotive relationship shows why workplace coffee should be treated as an ongoing supply and equipment decision, not only as a one-off purchase.

Over more than seven years, the business has continued operating machines installed at several locations while adding a new Minibar S2 Plus when the Subaru site required updated equipment. The arrangement now spans older F11 machines, a current higher-capacity model and drinking-water supply through Summer Springs.

For another dealership group, medical organisation, professional business or multi-site employer, the useful starting questions are practical:

  • How many locations need coffee equipment?
  • Will each machine serve employees, customers or both?
  • What is the expected daily and peak drink demand at each site?
  • Is mains water available near the proposed machine position?
  • Does the location need coffee only, or should it also offer chocolate or chai?
  • Who will be responsible for cleaning and everyday care?
  • Is existing equipment still suitable, or is an upgrade justified?
  • Does the business also need drinking water and water coolers?

The answer does not need to be identical across every branch. A smaller location may be well served by a compact M10, while a busier showroom or shared facility may justify a Minibar S2 Plus or another higher-capacity model.

Planning coffee and drinking water across several workplaces?

Coffee Bean Roasting House supplies and supports automatic coffee machines for offices, showrooms, dealerships, customer lounges and large workplaces across regional NSW.

Through Summer Springs, businesses can also arrange spring water delivery and water coolers for staff and customer areas.

Different workplaces need different coffee solutions

A coffee machine that works well in a small administration office may not be suitable for a training academy, a busy automotive business or a workplace where demand changes from week to week.

The right setup depends on more than headcount. We consider expected cups per day, peak demand, available plumbing, milk and powder requirements, cleaning responsibilities, the people who will use the machine and how coffee and consumables will be replenished.

Our customer stories explain those decisions rather than simply showing a finished machine.
